Chinese Culture thru Stories "Chinese Culture through Stories and Classics" In this course, we will study contemporary renditions of classical stories in the Chinese culture, for example, episodes from Journey to the West, Dream of the Red Chamber, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Art of War, all well-known stories that hold deep cultural values and offer historical perspectives. Knowing these cultural stories in the global contemporary context prepares you for complex intercultural communication situations. Through a range of media, text, comics, animation films, songs, you will enjoy learning Chinese classical stories and exploring their contemporary relevance.
