"Catholic Thought: An Introduction: 'Martyrs for God'" From the death of Jesus in the first century CE through Pope Francis papacy in the 21st century, Catholic Christians have put their welfare, comfort, health, and even lives on the line for their God and religion. In this course we will look at witnesses to the Catholic faith from antiquity to modernity, investigating some of the prominent and distinctive themes of Catholic thought as we study the spectrum of martyrdom within the Catholic tradition.
