4 hours Alternative Investments Alternative investments include a large and growing array of financial assets that are not covered in standard investment courses that center on public stocks and bonds. Specifically, our focus will be mainly on (1) venture capital and private equity, and (2) hedge funds. The course aims to help students understand the investment opportunities available in these fields using a combination of lectures and case discussions. The course will be helpful to students interested in career opportunities in investment and asset management as well as to those who might at some point work -or found- startup that raises venture capital or private equity.
