This course explores the processes by which computers analyze data for language research. Students will engage with Python programming to practice common Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for data mining and information extraction to gain proficiency in NLP programming. Through hands-on mini projects, students will apply these NLP techniques to tasks related to language data, while gaining an understanding of the underlying mechanisms and approaches.
